Chris Roberts, 27, moved to Stockton Springs in September of last year and opened his new business, “Barkwheats,” in November.
Roberts bakes organic, buckwheat dog biscuits for canine companions in his basement kitchen and sells them at local stores including the Belfast Co-op, Rising Tide in Damariscotta and the Blue Hill Co-op.

The market is held rain or shine Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at its new waterfront location on Front Street. The market has been a fixture in Belfast since 1980.
